We all know (or should know by now) that nutrition is SOOOOOO important when it comes to health and wellbeing. You cannot simply get up in the morning, workout, and be super fit/strong/healthy etc. Likewise you cannot workout 24/7 and expect to be in good shape – although some would think so.
I am going to keep things as simple as possible for part 1 of our nutrition guide. The 4 things you need for a healthy balanced life are:
- Healthy Food
- Healthy drinks/liquids
- Sleep
- Exercise
There are others but these are essential and your first place to start for the life you want to live. Now, the fact that you are on a video workout review site shows me that you know about exercise, so I wont get into much on this occasion.
Healthy Food
Again, to keep things simple I won’t get into full depth analysis. The EASIEST way to know what you should be eating is by what Sean Croxton coined “JERF” which stands for JUST EAT REAL FOOD.
What is real food? Sounds silly doesn’t it, but when the supermarket is crammed with thousands of boxes, which ones are real and which aren’t? The answer: Read the ingredients. Real food contains…real food. Fake food, or, processed food will contain things like “nitrates, sulphates, stabilizers, added sugar and so on. Ever wonder why a piece of food has a sell by date of 2 years? Coz it aint real govna!
A piece of advice I heard recently was that if it has more than 5 ingredients in it put it back on the shelf. Go to the farmers markets and local grocers and get REAL food. There are tonnes of studies that link fake foods to all types of illnesses.
Paleo

Healthy Drinks/Liquids
Ok, going to keep it simple again. Same as food. JUST DRINK REAL DRINKS – no added stuff to it. That is as simple as it gets. We can go deep but sometimes it is good to keep it simple.
The best drink – High quality water. Not just water – High Quality water. The best water you can drink is fresh Spring water. If you are to drink from a bottle drink from a GLASS bottle as plastic reacts with sunlight and guess what? it affects the water and it is no longer high quality water. Even your tap water will most likely be LOW quality.
I have a distillation machine bought from amazon, and I add Himalayan salt, Lemon and a probiotic capsule to make it supercharged.

Sleep
Did you know that your body heals when you are sleeping. It repairs, builds and grows too. You do not build muscle at the gym – you do it when you sleep. Bad sleeping patterns = bad health. Again I could get into the science but in a nutshell, the power hours are between 10-2am. If you can nail those you are on to something. 10pm-6am is MUCH better than 2am -10am…better by millions!
