Focus T25 Workout Review Day 19 Total Body Circuit and Ab Intervals

This is my Focus T25 Workout Review Day 19 Total Body Circuit and Ab Intervals:  A funny thing happened me today.  I woke up in a funk… felt tired, unmotivated, and a little depressed.  Wasn’t sure exactly why… Nothing was wrong in particular.  Then I realized I hadn’t worked out in a couple days.  So I did some T25 thinking that it will help clear my head and get my blood flowing.  That was exactly what I needed!

After my workout I felt good that I accomplished the routines.  It did help me clear my mind and got my energy level up.  I know that doctors have said that exercise helps release endorphins in your body.  These chemicals help reduce stresses and makes you feel better.

So now I know that when I get in this weird funk… all I have to do is exercise and it changes my whole day.

What can I say that I haven’t already talked about in previous blog posts about these workouts.  I will share with you this… my overall endurance has increased.  I remember trying to play basketball with my son before I started working out.  I literally felt like I was going to die.

It was not a good feeling having my heart pound through my chest and being out of breathe.  But now after working out to T25 I was able to play 3 pickup games!  Crazy right!

I was so proud of myself… I was able to keep up with him for once.  Unfortunately, I still don’t have a six-pack or anything like that.

I think I need to workout more consistently and have a stricter diet to accomplish that goal.  It’s great to hear people leaving comments that they have completed Alpha and the Beta workouts and moving on to Gamma.  Congrats everyone to committing to your fitness!

Focus T25 Workout Review Day 18 Cardio

This is my Focus T25 Workout Review Day 18 Cardio: I’m writing this blog post as I’m sitting at a Corner Bakery Cafe eating a Flatbread breakfast with spinach and scrambled eggs.  Today I’m feeling great!  Been happy with my progress and feel that fitness and eating healthy has become a part of my life.  As mentioned in my last post working out to T25 has become more of mental challenge than a physical challenge.

I think my body is starting to get use to the workouts so I don’t feel that I’m working out as hard anymore.  Of course there are always ways you can challenge yourself further by doing more reps or punching harder, or squatting lower, etc.  However, I’m feeling the need to add some kind of weight training to my workouts.

Originally my goal was to lose my belly fat and have more energy.  However, I’m starting to realize that if I want to have the physique that I’ve always wanted… I need to add some lean muscle gain as well.

I’ve been debating if I should incorporate P90X3 to my workout regiment.  But, then a part of me is holding back because I wanted to see what my results would be if I just stuck with T25.

What do you think?

Focus T25 Workout Review Day 18 Cardio

It seems like such a long time ago since my first T25 Cardio workout.  I still remember how hard it was for me.  All the jumping, squatting, running, etc… I was out of breathe and didn’t know if I could finish the workout.

I fly through the workouts now.  I know the routine by heart and it’s starting to become second nature.  It’s amazing what can happen when you just push through the pain and try to stay consistent.

I by no means feel like a fitness expert or anything like that.  But, I think back at where I was before I started…. a couch potato that cringed at the idea of working out.

I’m curious how you’re doing?  Have you been able to push through?  Do you feel the same why I do?

This journal has been therapeutic and fulfilling.  It’s weird this whole blogging thing.  Writing a virtual journal which thousands of people can see.

I actually have about an average of 2000 readers from all around the world reading this blog daily.  Crazy right?!

Thanks for following this fitness journey and I hope that these blog posts are helping you in one way or another.

I wish I could tell you all the scientific and nutrition stats and body fat measurement information, but I’m simply not a nutritionist, or a fitness trainer.  I’m just a regular guy working out to T25 like you.

Have a great day and keep pushing play!

Focus T25 Workout Review Day 17 Lower Focus

This is my Focus T25 Workout Review Day 17 Lower Focus:  I’ve found that it’s getting harder and harder to do a workout 5 days a week.  I’m averaging 3 days a week now… basically working out Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  It’s no longer the physical challenge that gets in the way, but rather the mental challenge and disciplining myself to stick to the routine.

Since fitness hasn’t been part of my everyday life for the past 6 years… I’m slowly slipping back to my old habits.  I get the urges to want to eat fast-food and sleep-in in the morning versus working out.  But, at the same time I feel myself challenging myself saying… NO!  Don’t go backwards… you’ve worked hard to get to this point and you have to finish the program.

The workouts are getting easier… which means my body is getting stronger and adapting to the workout program.  I notice that my flexibility in my legs is better.  I can do more push-ups and can hold my legs at six-inches which is something I couldn’t do well before.

It’s funny how things are… I always thought that the biggest struggle was going to be the workout.  But, lately I haven’t found the biggest struggle is being motivated.  After the first week the excitement of starting this workout routine is wearing off.  The video workouts are not new… instead it’s the same thing over and over each day.

I can’t wait for this Alpha cycle to end so I can move on to Beta.  My body is ready for the challenge and mentally I think I need it to so that I can do some new routines.

I can start to slowly see some results.  I see my belly getting slimmer and my arms and shoulders becoming more defined.  I can see why now… so many people don’t make it to the end…. It’s tough!  It’s tough physically in the beginning… but it gets tougher when your head gets in the way.

I keep telling myself… keep pushing play.  Keep sharing on the blog… because people out there are reading and they’re looking for inspiration.

Nothing new to report in this workout other than… My heads playing tricks on me.

Focus T25 Workout Review Day 16 Speed 1.0

This is my Focus T25 Workout Review Day 16 Speed 1.0:  Hey guys sorry it’s been a couple days since my last blog.  I’ve still been working out but haven’t got a chance to update you on my progress.  At this point I have really started to make fitness a part of my lifestyle.  I’ve been eating healthier… for example eating apples, bananas, grilled-chicken salads, and drinking lots of water.  Been cutting back on my alcohol intake except for the weekends.  I’m finally starting to see some definition on my arms and shoulders.  YES!

This is perfect time leading into the summer season.  My goal is get into decent shape by July so I can finally spend time at the pool without feeling embarrassed.  If you’re beginning on this journey… it will be tough for the first week.  But, just stick with it because your body does get use to it.  At this point, I’m starting to adopt other fitness routines into my days.   Some days I’ll go play basketball with my son, or go take a walk when I don’t feel like working out.

Focus T25 Workout Review Day 16 Speed 1.0

If you’ve been following my blog from the beginning you would know that Speed 1.0 is my favorite workout routine from T25.  I will say that this workout is starting to get too easy and I’m ready for something new and more challenging.  I guess that’s a good thing as my body is telling me that I’m making progress.  I don’t need to step on a scale to know that my fitness is improving.  I can simply feel the difference.

This is a good feeling that I’ve been lacking for many years.  I have a sense of renewal and self-confidence in myself.  I’m glad that I didn’t give up when things got tough.  Keep in mind I’ve been working out on and off for the past couple weeks.  I haven’t been able to follow the schedule exactly as the program requires, but I’m working out at least 3 days a week.

I think if I had maintained the 5 day a week workout I would see quicker results.  But, I’m not focused on fast results but rather adopting fitness into a lifestyle habit.  In the past I would go “full-throttle” and eventually burn out by week 1 or 2.  This time I’m pacing myself and listening to my body.  On days that I’m too sore to workout.  I take a break to allow my body to repair itself.  I don’t feel too much pressure and don’t beat myself up when I miss a day.  I just remind myself to get back on the saddle and workout the next day.  Alright guys keep it going!

Oh I forgot to mention that Beachbody finally released Streaming workout videos!!!  HOLY-COW!!! It’s about time.  I know alot of you have been asking for this for quite some time.  You can get a Free Team Beachbody Account to get started with it.  Click here to check it out.
